MATERIAL AND SPIRITUAL GOODS

5.1 To gain material goods, and even spiritual ones, and keep them with greed, in safes or minds, to which the poor have not access, even when they deserve it, -- is a grave fault of the person who has received from the Masters in abundance so many precious goods. This  posture denotes egotism, lack of charity and sensibility to the human suffering. The same can be said of the person that owing such goods, specially the spiritual ones, charge high prices for those goods. Disaffection, unegotism and charity are essential qualities required from the one who really wants to reach the Unity with God.

5.11. The rain that falls copiously on the land, bringing freshness and vitality is received according to the merits of the bikkhu. If he reaps with a small vessel, this will be his measure; if he reaps with a bigger vessel, he will receive more; but if he reaps with a damaged vessel, nothing he will receive. He will have to fix the vessel. So are the Teachings: Each one receives according to his merits.
