BHAGAVAN SRI RAMANA MAHARISHI

Early in his childhood, Venkataraman, like the Buddha, tried not to get rid of the misfortunes, but of the desires, fears and cravings, in order to attain wisdom.

After having attained samadhi, at the age of 17, he decided to go to the Mount Arunachala region -- and there dedicate himself intirely to climbing the Ascending Path.

One day, in samadhi, in the interior of a cave, where he had been for so long time that he was almost to disincarnate, he was found by devotees of the doctrine, who took him to the place that is until today, his Ashrama, situated at the feet of the sacred Arunachala.

According to Arthur Osborne, his disciple, author of the book Ramana Arunachala, -- Ramana was born in a poor home, of a brahmin family, at the South of India. He studied at the local English mission, where he learned English.

After reaching Samadhi, the young man changed substantialy his way of life. He lost interest in all the mundane things and subjects, and was frequently submerged in the Sublimity of the Being.

His elder brother criticized him for  living in family but acting like a sadhu, and the youn man, accepting this opinion, decided to abandon the life in family, traveling secretly to the Sacred Mountain of Arunachala. There he stayed for 54 years, until the date of  April, 14, 1950 -- when he got rid of his bodies for ever.

Sri Ramana teachings are directed to the aspirants of the Sacred Path. He speaks, with clearness and calm, stressing more the subject of ignorance and less the one of suffering; more knowledge and less the releaf of suffering. Although he had gone out of this material world for so many years, and left an important collection of teachings, Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi has just blessed his Disciples which he had choosen for the mission of writing these new teachings, suited for the New Age, when the sages profecies will finally happen, allowing Humanity to review its values, and starts the construction of a New Civilization emerged from suffering, and well prepared to live in accordance with the New Doctrine, which promotes Peace and True Happiness.
